The primordial sounds from Shiva's cosmic drum
When Lord Shiva performed his cosmic dance at the end of a cycle of creation, his damaru (drum) produced fourteen primordial sounds. These sounds contain the entire Sanskrit phonetic system and encode the mathematical patterns of universal energy flow.
Each sutra ends with a halant marker (इत्) that creates connections between sounds, transforming 14 separate sutras into one unified energy system — the Param Tatva.
Sutras 5 and 14 share "ha" and "la", creating cyclic loops that reflect the eternally recurring nature of cosmic energy — neither created nor destroyed, only transformed.
